Reduce the file size of a PowerPoint presentation

1. Change the resolution of Images, graphics, and pictures in PowerPoint

The resolution should not more than 72dpi because nearly all the TV screen, monitor or projector can not play images up to 72dpi. Images with high resolution are good for printing but never for the file size. So check the images, graphics and pictures and edit them with an image editor.

2. Change the definition of audio in PowerPoint
Transform the music or other audio in PowerPoint from stereo to mono, from 44khz to 22khz. In most cases, audio is recorded in high definition 16 bit 44khz stereo. The fact is that the differences between stereo and mono is so much small to the human ear. In a conference hall or through a PC speaker the differences may not be recognized.

3. Change the compression format of video in PowerPoint
Video is often recorded and captured in the compression format MPEG-2 with 720 x 568 pixels. It is good for full screen play.
